Ivie is a renowned barrister, with over 13 years experience, both locally and internationally, she has extensive experience in the acquisition of exploration and production rights, as well as negotiating, structuring and perfecting asset purchase or disposal transactions. Simisola Oso is a seasoned corporate lawyer with 15 years’ experience in the legal industry covering Company Law, Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Company Secretarial & Corporate Governance, Management and International Business. She started her career at international investment bank JPMorgan Chase and has since worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the company secretarial and corporate governance department as well as Templars, a tier one law firm in Nigeria. Oso is actively involved in developing sustainable corporate governance structures in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors in Nigeria and currently heads the legal and human resources department of one of the largest real estate group of companies in Nigeria. She regularly assists new businesses in setting up and makes introductions to potential stakeholders. Her clients have ranged from banks and other financial institutions to government authorities and sovereign wealth funds, listed companies, SMEs and HNIs. Additionally, she has in depth Fintech knowledge and has advised world-renowned companies on their Fintech ventures in Nigeria. She has also written on the subject. Elizabeth is an English qualified lawyer with over 25 years’ experience in various major City of London law firms advising on a wide variety of bilateral and syndicated loan agreements, debt and equity capital markets transactions; derivatives and other hedging agreements, and other corporate and commercial transactions and finance arrangements. Elizabeth is passionate about facilitating finance transactions between European and African entities. She recently completed a study looking at initiatives to deepen the Nigerian capital markets and has written several thought-leadership articles on financing infrastructure development in Nigeria and the rest of sub-Saharan Africa. Elizabeth graduated with a first class degree in law from University College London and a BCL from Merton College, Oxford University. She qualified as a barrister of the Middle Temple in 1989 and re-qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1992. She is a Co-Chair of the Legal and Compliance Peer Advisory Group for 100 Women in Hedge Funds in London.
